Description:
The IT Consultant to perform business project management consulting duties in support of the mission and projects within the DoD, in support of the Naval Air Systems Command and the Fleet Readiness Centers. Functions and responsibilities include, Identify client requirements and advise solutions; daily interaction with clients in both a support and an advisory role; Perform project management support; Responsible for advising on project execution, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation, including software development lifecycle support and documentation; Requirements elicitation and analysis; Control of Design and Development activities; Test management; Project status reporting to client management; Strict Plan of Action and Milestone adherence with detailed WBS; and Create, update, and edit briefs on a regular basis.
Required Skills:
· Bachelors Degree and 7+ years relevant work experience
· 3+ years experience in DoD IT Project Management
· 3+ years experience in a client-facing environment with direct client interaction
· Significant experience with change management efforts as it relates to IT Deployments and large scale IT Integration efforts
· PMP certified
· Must be proficient in MS Project
· Must be proficient is the MS Office Suite
