Vendor Relations Supervisor
Citizens Property Insurance Corporation

POSITION SUMMARY: 
This position supervises the staff involved in the administrative management of vendors providing services to Citizens claims operations and policy holders. Primarily oversees the activities involved in the credentialing of independent adjusters, various construction trades, and other specialty service providers. The position also oversees other functions such as invoice billing, monitoring vendor performance and processes related to independent deployment. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
· Manage the day-to-day activities of the staff to ensure smooth operations.
· Responsible for personnel actions such as hiring, discipline, assigning work, scheduling, coaching, training, weekly team staff meetings, monitoring reports' performance and conducting performance appraisals
· Develop procedures related to each area of support (credentialing of vendor firms and personnel, day rate billing, independent adjuster staffing additions and deletions, vendor performance tracking and independent adjuster deployment).
· Oversee activities related to the credentialing of vendor firms, independent adjusters. This includes verifying licensures, insurance related items, background checks, and documents to ensure compliance.
· Oversee claims processes related to independent adjuster deployment, support services to Citizens Claims Operations and policyholders and support claims processes involved in daily and catastrophic events.
· Develop, implement and maintain internal training materials to communicate credentialing, deployment, and independent contractor staffing change management procedures internally and externally and participate in training and mentoring of internal business partners.
· Regularly communicate internally with reports and Claims department staff, externally with vendor business points of contact, to include independent firms concerning credential matters and issues.
· Collect, maintain, and analyze statistical data to compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports relating to strategic vendor performance and run monthly statistical reports to audit and ensure data accuracy within vendor credentialing database.
· Assist Director with formulating unit goals and procedures, preparing unit catastrophe plans, and developing vendor deployment staffing processes.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Supervisory skills, to include ability to coach, delegate, train, mentor staff and teach structured processes
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills
· Ability to extract and analyze data using data warehouse reporting tools
· Ability to work independently with minimal direction
· Ability to recognize problematic situations and implement creative solutions
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Strong development, planning, and organizational skills
· Ability to implement new ideas and processes while operating in a fast paced environment.
· Intermediate to Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Internet.
· Demonstrated leadership skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Associate's degree in field with skills transferable to position OR combination of two years in college education and experience relevant to position OR two years of relevant work experience. 
· Four years of progressively responsible administrative and/or process management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in field with skills transferable to position
· Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
· Advanced Excel and/or Access training and/or experience.
· 5+ years of progressively responsible administrative and/or process management experience.
· Experience in the administration and/or management of programs involving service providers' networks such as in construction or insurance.
· Project management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
This position requires the ability to sit for long periods, hear and converse over the telephone and key frequently on a computer. The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced and flexible environment. This position may require occasional overnight travel during catastrophe response and may require additional work or weekend hours during catastrophe response.
