EHS Manager

External Objectives
To ensure that site environmental, health and safety aspects are managed effectively and efficiently in compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations, DPS policy and standards and any other EHS standards subscribed to by the site or DPS.

External Responsibilities
· Manage site EHS KPI performance and contract commitments to deliver continuous improvement targets
· Manage and lead multi-disciplinary teams in the risk assessment process.
· Manage the development and training in EHS capability for manufacturing site (s).
· Facilitate the sharing of EHS knowledge, expertise and best practice between sites.
· Ensure that site EHS KPI is monitored and communicated as required.
· Ensure that the site EHS management system is effective in maintaining regulatory compliance.
· Provide technical guidance to the site to resolve EHS issues.
· Provide comprehensive EHS training for site employees.
· Manage EHS projects as required.
· Provide EHS audit services which involves plant inspections.
· Plan, organize and hold EHS meetings at management and non-management levels.
· Support manufacturing plants in implementing and maintaining the Company EHS Policy and Standards.

External Requirements
Strong interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and written/oral communications skills, with the ability to influence decision-making processes.
· Experience in managing, coaching and developing direct reports.
· Proven leadership and team building skills
· Ability to balance the EHS implications and the business needs when making decisions.
· Ability to surface issues and conflicts and find ways to resolve these conflicts.
· Bachelor's Degree in Science or equivalent.
· Proven track record in developing, implementing and managing systems such as ISO 9000, ISO 14000, ISRS or comparable systems.
· 5 -10 years experience in EHS management in manufacturing sites and in the food/consumer business.
· Proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point.
